These fantastic glass lamps are by the French company Daum. Probably made during the 1960s they are flat backed with a fin shaped front. The front is completely ribbed, the ribbing running horizontally with the flat fronted fin curving across the ribbing. We have had a pair of black lacquered wooden bases especially made for the lamps as we felt that they needed extra height. The lamps stand in the bases so they can be used either with or without the bases. (The manufacture of the wooden bases revealed that the lamps are not exactly the same size but this is not obvious to the naked eye!) Whether you choose to use the wooden bases or not this is a very stylish pair of lamps for any room.
